For this, the four existing organ works are joined by another five modules of the new mobile pipe organ “Wanderer”, conceived by Paolo Oreni, who here also takes over the virtuoso part at the main organ – at the first 13 performances of this singular work, the “Maître” always played himself. Each time, dedicatee Johannes Skudlik was at the podium, who, like Guillou, understands the work as genuinely European. Bach, Cochereau and a double improvisation complete the concert program.

Alexander Fiseisky has played many unique organs in spectacular cathedrals and concert halls during his long concert life. Nevertheless, a performance in Moscow’s ultra-modern Zaryadye Hall with its new Mühleisen organ might be a highlight even for him. Here he presents a Russian programme with original organ works and transcriptions by Glasunov, Shostakovich and the grande dame of Russian music, Sofia Gubaidulina.
Bach’s complete organ works in a single day? A record-breaking marathon played by Alexander Fiseisky in Düsseldorf in the Bach Year 2000. For decades, Fiseisky has been shaping the organ scene in Russia, be it as a concert organist, as a professor at the Russian Gnessin Academy of Music and other institutes, as an organ expert, book author and artistic director of various festivals. As a versatile virtuoso, he is Russia’s musical ambassador throughout Europe, North America and the Far East. Bach and Handel are not the only focal points of his extensive repertoire. He is equally committed to contemporary music and is the dedicatee of numerous compositions.
The Largest concert organ in Asia is in new concert hall of WWY center in Kaoshiung City, south of Taiwan. This great instrument is built by Germen Klais Bonn in 2018, it is a largest pipe organ ever built by German organ form so far. This program will be based on this enormous instrument to present Gigout’s Grand Choeur Dialogué on twin organs; the color of orchestra works of Guilmant and Saint-Saëns as an organ solo; a masterpiece of French organ symphony; as well as sweet music by British/ American composer Edwin Lemare’s with outside light show taken in WWY during lunar new year in February. In additions, a Taiwanese children song, a Taiwanese folk’s music, plus a Reger’s short music passage will be added to Bach’s D minor Toccata and Fugue (without changing a note of BWV 565) to link to the town of IOOF to make this program diverse. “Amazing” of WWY organ sings great Europe, America works, also together with Taiwanese melody.
